Another one from this series, I love how sleepy Ęgir was there
Ęgir, American blue self dumbo rat, born january 2010
He is very cuddly little boy who adores sleeping on my knees or in my sweater (he seems to have a sweater-sleep fetish ) He's a doll ! He comes from an unwanted litter, I couldn't resist his cuteness and adopted him. My boyfriend named him Ęgir after a Giant from the Norse mythology.
Canon EOS 350D Canon EF-S 60mm macro Philips LivingColors lamps Desklamps Blue gift wrapping paper An ugly brown mail cardbox I covered with printed striped paper (stripes pattern created in photoshop) Yellow stars drawn in Photoshop then printed and stuck on the blue giftwrapping paper Blue cloth Purple and orange paper Light blue gift wrapping paper pieces I curled with scissors
These are amazing; I have females so I don't think I could ever get them to fall asleep or even stay still in a place like this for more than 5 seconds. |D Again, your photos are absolutely wonderful, I love how you set up the background and lighting and everything. Makes me want to upload some photos of my rats, though they'd be incomparable. This is perfect.
Oh and forgot to mention; your rats are the most adorable I've ever seen. Besides mine of course, but I assume you know how that is.
Again, a beautifully done photo of a charming rat. He's so stunning, but then I am partial to blues. My heart will always belong to Precious (r.i.p) who was a Russian blue that passed with age. I called her my heart's companion because she loved to sleep with me and lay curled up at my heart. Being involved with rescues of abused and snake food rats I have fostered up to forty abused rats at one time that I nursed back to health. I currently have only 1 rescue and two rats of my own. I love all rats dearly, but my heart will always ache for Precious. Ęgir is a beautiful rat who is lucky to have someone like you to love him and honor him and all rats this way. I look forward to more photos of him!
He is precious - so good of you to rescue him too. Your babies are so tame.
In my experience, you are a very patient person to photograph rats. :3 do you have natural posers or is this one shot out of 50 that didn't turn out right? lol I have had more than my share of blurry whisker and butt pictures.
