Ęgir, American blue self dumbo rat, born january 2010

He is a very cuddly little boy who adores playing and sleeping in my sweater (he seems to have a sweater-sleep fetish :slow: )
He's a doll ! :heart:
He comes from an unwanted litter, I couldn't resist his cuteness and adopted him. My boyfriend named him Ęgir after a Giant from the Norse mythology.

I'm pretty sure you can find many rescue rats where you live ^^
I don't have any rescue rat up for adoption anymore, I've stopped fostering rats to take care of my old ones. When I don't have as many rats, I'll foster some more :)

Feeder rats are the ones used to feed snakes. Many breeders or petstores sell "feeder" rats.
And although you've looked for shelters and didn't find one, you might want to checkout online classified ads, some people give away their pets using these ads ;)

Have you tried looking for online rescue forums? I started rescuing rats thanks to an online French forum, it seems that there are many similar ones in various countries :)
There are plenty classified ads there, mostly for cats and dogs but also rodents, birds, farm animals, exotic pets...
