WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT RATS?
READ MY F.A.Q. (handling, care, behavior, etc...) ________________________
I know I had promised not spamming you too much with ratties pics yesterday but honestly I couldn't resist posting this one as soon as took it... This is just way too cute and brighened my day so I thought I'd share anyway
Arkanys, black irish dumbo rex rat, born April the 16th 2010.
He is the sweetest rattie ever, he's very cuddly, licky and playful. He's also quite the little clown and always make funny faces. He's a pretty smart rat who learn tricks very quickly and is also quite the friendly and glue-like rat who would do anything to be allowed to go to work with my boyfriend or follow me anywhere
Arkanys comes from an unwanted litter from a rescue doe, Harley, who had been abandonned by her previous owner. The foster family who rescued her didn't seem to know males and female rats shouldn't play on the same area together and the girl who adopted Harley soon discovered that she was pregnant...
I saw a video showing Harley's pups and my boyfriend and I just melt when we saw Arkanys cute little nose and white socks... So we adopted him and I must say this rattie is the cutest thingie ever and I can't believe such a small rat has so much love to give
Canon EOS 350D
Canon EF-S 60mm macro lens
Philips Living Colors lamp
Blue heavy canson paper I pierced with a pen tip (lightsources are behind it)
Some blue glitter from gift-wrapping paper I used for some previous shots featuring my Belial had fallen on the paper so I tried to put them on the foreground to get more shiny bokeh. I guess I succeded with some of them...
In case you'd be wondering, yes, the bokeh is real. No photomanipulation at all
, I just cropped this square and removed a small grape juice stain on the left of the picture just below Arkanys (a very small one but it bothered me). I know many people out there add some glittery bokeh textures to their photographs but I wanted to see if I could make something similar without involving any manip at all (I had already done so on my Belial picture but it involved glitter and not lighting).________________________ YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE : SEE MORE IN MY GALLERY
