Lothar was kind enough to eat the "dead tomato" (then he killed the smiling one but I didn't care as I had already taken the shot I wanted ^^). These inks are non-toxic, he didn't even try to lick them. I then washed the ink off, gave my ratties some tomatoes and ate the other ones.

[link]Lothar used to live with two very nice ratties but unfortunately these were older than him and passed away two months ago. Their owner loved them very much but since Lothar remained alone then and she wasn't allowed to get any other rattie (her boyfriend is severely allergic to them), she searched for a new home for him where he could get ratties friends to play with.
She was very sad to have to give him away but there was no choice left since Lothar was getting depressed...
She contacted me through a french rat forum asking if I could offer him a new home (she's a friend of one of my best friends) and I accepted so she brought him to me and we introduced him to my ratties. Everything went just perfect : no squeak at all, he seems to be pretty happy to have new friends
Lothar is a sweetheart, a very laid-back buck who loves licking people's hands, cuddling, exploring everything, sleeping in weird positions, chattering during photo sessions and asking for treats
