This little thingie has been made after rat pattern "Parzifal & Myrddrinn"
which represent two of my rats (you can see both of them in my gallery here). She came home to see Robin and we had a sushi and beading session
I followed her advices for the body (though not exactly) and tried to make the head and ears by myself to make them fit Robin's head shape (he's a very young rat so his snout is more pointy and his ears are bigger) so it's not exactly similar to hers, but I'm quite happy with the result since it's the first time I've done a beaded animal (I had never done crocodiles or such before).
The patterns on the real Robin are the same
He's a 6 weeks old standard black hooded rat. He needed a family and I took him home to search for a good home for him but he is so cute that my boyfriend and I decided to keep him home.
Why this name ? My boyfriend thought "Robin" would fit him well since he's a hooded rat, because of
and also because Robin is the name of one of the knights in the "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie (since all my rats are named after Arthurian characters, he thought this could be fun ^^)
Photos coming soon ^^ I'll try to take some shots of him with my big boys, so you can see how small he is (Owain and Gaheris are almost 6 times bigger, Parzifal is even bigger). Though, if you really want to see the original one, he's the "F" one on this low quality photo [link] - 0,2mm copper wire
- black seed beads
- white seed beads (translucent and opaque)
- nacred pink seed beads

5 hours. I'll make all my rats this way and I'll make a funny necklace out of them, so this is just a WIP
