Thjazi's reaction was too funny not to share ^^
Look at his little hands and his expression, he seems to wonder what the bubbles are... This is one of the luckiest shots I've ever captured, the bubble burst just one second after the shot then he started jumping on them and playing like a crazy cat (ratties do play like cats chasing objects ^^), that was so funny I couldn't help laughing and stopped taking pics to blow more bubbles and let him play :aww:

I used two colored lamps (Philips Living Colors : one set to light blue and the other one to light pink) + 3 other lamps (a white spot on the wall to make the ambient white light, a yellow-ish old desklamp which produces very few light but gave the golden highlights and my current desklamp to lighten the scene a bit). The yellow and green things on the background are plums in a blue bowl.


Thjazi, siamese seal point hooded mismarked standard rat, born june the 1st, 2010 (his eyes are really that dark), he's Lorich's brother.

I was meant to foster him and his other brother Thorim for some days until their owner can take them to their new home but she never called back (I waited for over 2 months) so I adopted them both. Thjazi (he was originally called Hermes) is a VERY licky and cuddly boy, very playful too, always asking to play and the first one to say hello every morning. Good I could finally keep it ^^

From the shots I've seen of your rats, I think this one has to be my fave. The colour in the background is gorgeous and that bubble right above his nose is perfect, his reaction even more so.
